@00:49I didn't notice you'd asked me here too. Goes to show how little I go on here. I'm slowly working my way through all of my notifications ^_^'

This is an animation I made for my 3d design class this year.
I designed the character, Bubba the Clown, myself.
Modelled, uvw unwrapped, rigged, skinned and animated the head in 3dsMax.
Made the texture in Photoshop.
I recorded and edited the audio file myself using Audiacity.

Created: 2009
Media: 3DSMax, Audiacity, Magpie Pro, Photoshop (graphics tablet)

@00:49Oh good :) It is supposed to be scary.
I had fun making it :)
I should do something like that again...but I'm lacking the inspiration...
I really enjoy doing animation.
Mine was the longest lipsynch in my class, we were given a minimum of about 5 or 10 seconds, and I went for almost 50 seconds. I even got an encore :)

No, I didn't use any tutorials.

I went by what my 3d teacher taught us in class, and used some images of good head models with wireframe for reference - to make sure I had polyflow right.

How were you modelling it?
I used a box method, starting with a box and shaping and extruding to make it head shaped.

yep! my head always looks like more square shaped in the end and it makes me so frustrated! :frustrated:

 But look what i managed to do instead --> [link]
I modeled it when i was meant to sit down and consentrate on making my own stupid head! I think i'm just not meant to make humans, im retarded at drawing them too i guess :stupidme:

Hmmm...how far do you get with the head, do you at least manage to get the basic shape right?

I was taught to start with the top - shape it to be a circle, then go to the front - shape it to be an oval, then do the side - shaping it to be a jellybean :), once you do that you check it out in perspective or user to see how it looks and fix up any bits that don't look right. After the basic shape is there you start on the face.

That dog model is awesome, I'm surprised you have trouble with a human head when you can model something that cool. XD

@00:48Thank you :)
I worked really hard on it, of course I didn't have all that long to work on it. About 5 weeks from the design to the final animation. It was fun :)
I really love animation :)
